Honey Brook Elementary Center, one of three elementary centers in the Twin Valley School District, is located in northwestern Chester County, Pennsylvania; approximately 41 miles northwest of Philadelphia, just off route 10 and 322. We are a K-4 school serving over 300 students from the town Honey Brook, and of Honeybrook Township in Chester County.

Winter Recess

AT HBEC, students go outside for recess everyday unless it is raining, snowing or severe cold weather. Students are encouraged to come to school with a warm coat, hat and gloves/mittens.

• Below 10 degrees ("feels like" temperatures) = Indoor recess

• Below 15 degrees - Shortened recess to 5 or 10 minutes

• Below 32 degrees - Gloves & hats to go outside

• Below 50 degrees - Coat and long pants

• Below 60 degrees - Jacket or long sleeves
